The KAMMER ENSEMBLE DE PARIS was founded in 1987 by the violonist Jean-Claude BOUVERESSE as a chamber ensemble for string and wind instruments.

First prize winner at the conservatoires of Paris, Berlin and Brussels as well as prizes at other international competitions. Its members belong to the major symphonic orchestras in Paris such as: the Paris Opera, the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre de Radio-France, the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, the Ensemble Intercontemporain. On leaving these orchestras, some players have gone on to careers as soloists or chamber musicians.

The repertoire of the KAMMER ENSEMBLE DE PARIS ranges from the trio to the nonet, playing, in all possible instrumental combinations, everything from 18th century to contemporary music, from BACH to SCHNITTKE.

While loyal to the major Paris concert halls, the KAMMER ENSEMBLE DE PARIS also plays successfully throughout the European Community.
