The KAMMER ENSEMBLE DE PARIS
was founded in 1987 by the violonist Jean-Claude BOUVERESSE as a
chamber ensemble for string and wind instruments.
First prize winner at the
conservatoires of Paris, Berlin and Brussels as well as prizes at
other international competitions. Its members belong to the major
symphonic orchestras in Paris such as: the Paris Opera, the Orchestre
de Paris, the Orchestre de Radio-France, the Ensemble Orchestral de
Paris, the Ensemble Intercontemporain. On leaving these orchestras,
some players have gone on to careers as soloists or chamber musicians.
The repertoire of the KAMMER
ENSEMBLE DE PARIS ranges from the trio to the nonet, playing, in all
possible instrumental combinations, everything from 18th century to
contemporary music, from BACH to SCHNITTKE.
While loyal to the major Paris
concert halls, the KAMMER ENSEMBLE DE PARIS also plays successfully
throughout the European Community.
